I like the way the forms are layed out. The ease in which older versions can be imported without losing any data. Also everything is at one's fingertips when entering data.

Family Tree Maker 2009
I really like the Family Tree Maker 2009. We recently purchased a new computer and printer and had everything from our old Family Tree Maker #8 converted to this new one. It worked perfectly.

Avoid FTM 2009
I have used Family Tree Maker since the beginning (original company was Banner Blue Software; first version was a DOS program). In my opinion, the Generations Network has ruined a great product. FTM 2008 and 2009 are full of bugs, are very slow running and lack some of the features that were included in FTM v16 (an excellent program). If you can get a copy of FTM v16: get it.
