When Toby released the single "She Never Cried In Front Of Me", I stated on my MP3 review that if that single was any indication of what was to come on Toby's upcoming album "That Don't Make Me a Bad Guy" that I knew I would not be disappointed. Let me say: I am NOT disappointed. This has to be Toby's best album this decade. His God-given songwriting and singing talents shine through on this album. There were a few occasions on previous albums that I felt he was pandering to a certain crowd. I can honestly say that on this album there is no pandering. His lyrics and his passionate voice simply shine through with an honesty that is rare. This album lacks any attitude and seems honest and vulnerable. That is what makes it so attractive and so easy to listen to and appreciate. Another of my favorite things about this album (and his others too) is that is sounds COUNTRY. There is nothing worse when someone releases a country song that does not sound country. Toby is true to his genre just as he is true and faithful to each song through out the album. He placed a fair share of heart-wrenching ballads, which I honestly love, but he also has some great upbeat songs too. My favorite is "Time That It Would Take". It is a great workout song.
It is through the works of an album like this that Toby illustrates how he manages to stay at the top in an industry that seems to require you to be 20-something and blond. The country music industry seems to forget that its consumers are not all in the young adult crowd; therefore, the middle-aged consumers appreciate great music from someone who has grown by leaps and bounds in his walk in the music and entertainment industry.
I highly recommend this album to anyone who simply appreciates great music.

You can't ever go wrong with any Toby Keith CD. This one is great. I love that he writes his own songs and when you hear him sing them - he really puts his heart into it.
Buy it-you will absolutely not regret it!!
